Pinault of Ch. Latour buys Dom. Engel

The French luxury-goods magnate Francois Pinault , owner of Château Latour and Gucci, paid an unprecedented 13m Euros to acquire the Burgundian Domaine Engel, a s decanter.com reports (21/09/06). The Vosne-Romanée property was seeking a new owner after the sudden death of Philippe Engel in May 2005.
